The Small Lake at Rookley Country Park

The Small Lake

The small lake is around 3/4 of an acre and is a general coarse fishing lake containing a variety of species including Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench, Golden Tench, Mirror Carp, Common Carp and, Perch, Tench, Golden Tench, Mirror Carp, Common Carp and large Crucian Carp to 3lb 12oz. The Large Lake at Rookley Country Park

The Large Lake

The large lake is around 2 acres. This is the specimen lake, containing mainly Carp. The Carp total around 130 double figure fish with over 100 20lb plus fish and 20 over 30lb, all with good growth rates. Most of the fish are from the fast growing Fishers Pond strain and are predominantly Mirrors. The lake record is at present over 40lb.

Onsite Tackle Shop

Also on site is a small but well stocked tackle shop, selling everything you may need, including worms, fozen and shelf-life boilies, groundbaits and pellets, as well as terminal tackle and larger items from many leading companies - Shimano, Tracker, Delkim, Fox, NAsh, Carp Company, Korda, CC Moore, JRC, Shakespeare, Mainline, Kryston ETC.

Angling Tuition at Rookley Country Park

Angling Tuition & Tackle Hire

Angling tuition is available from the on site PROFESSIONAL ANGLERS ASSOCIATION COACH Tim Oatley, including coaching for Novices to tips on specimen carp angling.

A tackle hire service is also provided including all that would be needed for a days fishing on the little lake (not including bait), to cradle mats for the larger lake.
